Maria S. Thompson is the Public Sector Executive Strategist for Wiz. In this role, she brings over 20 years of experience in information technology, strategic planning, computer network defense, and risk management. Prior to her role with Wiz, Maria served as the State and Local Government Executive Government Advisor for Amazon Web Services (AWS), and was North Carolina’s first State Chief Risk and Security Officer. She is also a military veteran, having served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps.
