TS Troy Stairwalt is a veteran cybersecurity leader with more than 25 years of experience spanning cybersecurity strategy, program management, IT risk, data privacy, security architecture, and digital forensics. He has held senior roles across healthcare and state government, including serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the State of Wisconsin and Vice President of Information Security / CISO at Akron Children’s Hospital. Troy’s background covers the full security lifecycle—from analyst and engineer to architect, director, VP, and CISO—which gives him a practical, end-to-end understanding of how to build and sustain mature cybersecurity programs in complex environments. He is also an active educator, teaching information systems security and audit courses at the University of Akron and contributing to professional communities such as ISACA.
